Akai MPK225

Akai Professional introduces the new MPK 225, a USB keyboard / pad controller with 25 semi-weighted keys, 8 assignable knobs, 4 backlit keys, 8 MPC-style pads with RGB feedback, and built-in transport buttons. This keyboard controller combines user-friendly music production with modern DAW control.

Thanks to universal MIDI control, the MPK 225 can be optimally configured in no time at all. The 25 keys are semi-weighted and velocity-sensitive for dynamic recording capabilities. Integrated octave selector switches allow access to the full range of notes.

MPC Note Repeat and MPC Full Level expand creative design options. With the MPK 225, musicians and composers can bring true MPC workflow to their productions and take advantage of professional features. An arpeggiator with customizable resolution, range and patterns allows for effortless realization of complex melodies.

The Akai MPK 225 includes a comprehensive software package for professional music production: Ableton Live Lite, MPC Essentials, as well as Twist, the Spectral Morphing Synthesizer from SONiVOX. Additionally, there is the Hybrid 3 virtual synthesizer from AIR Music Tech.
