About us

History

GSM-Multimedia was founded on June 24, 1994 in Dingolfing. Initially, our focus was on flight cases and record bags, but over the years, our product range has evolved to cover the entire spectrum in the DJ and club industry, as well as expanding into the field of producing/studio equipment.

Since our establishment in 1994, we have been serving end customers in the DJ, club, gastronomy, shopfitting, and TV/broadcast sectors, as well as resellers and installation companies. As a result, after more than 20 years, we can now rely on a pan-European distribution network and count almost all renowned DJs and professional dealers among our customers.

Milestones

August 1995:
GSM-Multimedia takes over the distribution of Amabilia flight cases in Germany, initiating the establishment of a wholesale network.

November 1998:
We are delighted to announce that we have assumed the role of general distributor for MaishMereau products in Germany. We are the first professional provider of record bags in the country.

February 2000:
We take on another general representation for the German-speaking region. The complete product range of Ultimate DJ Gear, or UDG, is now marketed by us. With this agreement, we are pleased to introduce another brand to the market and expand our market position in the DJ bags and cases sector.

October 2000:
In order to provide even better service to our customers, we have decided to offer our products on the internet. Our products will be available worldwide at www.recordcase.de in the future.

January 2001:
The dealer area is integrated into our webshop at www.recordcase.de. From now on, our resellers can conveniently place orders online.

March 2002:
Hans Söllner joins the company as the new owner. We would like to take this opportunity to thank our former boss, Claudia Gangl, for many wonderful and successful years.

August 2002:
Foundation stone laid in Landau/Isar. We begin the construction of our new company building at Siemensstrasse 10 in Landau/Isar.

January 2003:
The construction project is now complete. We are delighted to move into our new offices and warehouse spaces.

February 2005:
We return the distribution of UDG products and establish the Zomo brand. Zomo will cover products in the areas of record bags, flight cases, and various accessories. Our wealth of experience will now be directed towards the production of Zomo products, further solidifying our leadership position in this sector.

June 2005:
Sefour UK entrusts us with the general distribution for the German-speaking market. We expand our market leadership in the DJ furniture and accessories sector.

August 2005:
Freefloat BV hands over the distribution of Freefloat air cushions to us.

October 2005:
The entire business division is transferred to the newly founded GSM-Multimedia GmbH as of October 31, 2005. The sole owner and managing director, of course, is Hans Söllner. The sole proprietorship continues to exist and now acts as a leasing company for the real estate of GSM-Multimedia.

November 2005:
From now on, we distribute Space-Tek equipment carriers in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Space-Tek offers innovative solutions in the equipment stand sector, fitting perfectly into our product range.

January 2006:
We take over the distribution of Redsound products for the German-speaking region. These unique and patented products have stood for innovation and an unrivaled beat counter for many years.

April 2006:
We take over the distribution of Grip Cologne DJ bags.

December 2006:
Construction begins for the expansion of our company premises. We trust in the competence of Wolf Systembau in Osterhofen.

May 2007:
"The original Spindoctor" is now exclusively distributed in Europe by GSM-Multimedia.

June 2007:
GSM-Multimedia GmbH is awarded the Pioneer Forward Award 2007 as the best German Pioneer support center on Ibiza. In the European ranking, we are awarded second place for outstanding performance.

July 2007:
We are pleased to announce the completion of construction and extend our thanks to the Wolf company for their timely execution. We now have more than 3000 square meters of warehouse space and 1000 square meters of exhibition and administration space.

August 2007:
We establish the Antoc brand, adding another top brand to our portfolio. Under this brand, we will offer exciting products in the Pro Audio and lighting systems sectors in the future.

November 2007:
GSM-Multimedia GmbH takes over the "Manufacture and Distribution of Slipmats" business division from US-Imports in Belgium, becoming the world's largest and most significant slipmat manufacturer. For this business segment, the brand Slipmat-Factory is established and operates in wholesale and retail.

June 2008:
Decksaver entrusts us with distribution for Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Italy. Decksaver dust covers are particularly robust and stylish. GSM-Multimedia GmbH strengthens its market position.

March 2009:
Our second webshop, www.dj-deals.de, goes online.

May 2009:
GSM-Multimedia GmbH is awarded the title of the most successful German Pioneer support center for the second time and receives the Pioneer Forward Award 2009. Once again, we achieve second place in the European ranking.

June 2010:
GSM-Multimedia GmbH is awarded the title of the most successful German Pioneer SD support center for the third time and receives the Pioneer Forward Award 2010. We thank all our loyal customers for their support.

September 2010:
With the Berlin, Miami, and Ibiza model series, we introduce our first Zomo DJ furniture to the market. With Zomo, we enter another market segment, complementing our successful product range.

May 2011:
French manufacturer Guillemot entrusts the distribution of Hercules DJ/music products to GSM-Multimedia GmbH, placing their trust in our distribution structure. Hercules DJ products seamlessly integrate into our portfolio and strengthen our position in the digital music industry.

November 2014:
We add DJ-Tech to our wholesale range and are now the exclusive distributor for the German-speaking region, including Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Benelux.

December 2015:
Starting from January 2016, the Pioneer DJ dealer network will be restructured, and we are proud to be selected as a premium SD support center and recognized as a "DJ Specialist." This allows us to continue providing our customers with high-quality products from Pioneer DJ and offer the best possible service as a premium distributor.

August 2016:
With the PEP brand, we introduce another product range into the market, offering many attractive products with an excellent price-performance ratio for our customers in the future. The initial portfolio of selected flight cases will be expanded in various directions in the future.

October 2016:
We take over the distribution of the Japanese brand ORB. The high-end vinyl products are now positioned in the market by us and integrated into our dealer network. ORB record flatteners are world leaders due to their renowned quality and innovative solutions.

March 2017:
GSM-Multimedia and thus www.recordcase.de are included in the exclusive distribution network of Denon Prime dealers, becoming specialists for professional Denon DJ products. Denon also introduces a high-quality range of DJ players, mixers, and turntables, establishing a leading position in the market.

April 2017:
Our webshop www.recordcase.de is updated, featuring a fresh design and the latest technology to provide our customers with an even better shopping experience.

May 2017:
Akai Professional appoints us as an MPC Specialist Center. Akai is a leading manufacturer of recording and studio workstations and trusts our extensive experience in this field.

June 2017:
www.zomo.de also undergoes a refresh with updated design and the latest technology. Browsing for the latest DJ equipment is now even more enjoyable, and placing orders is easier than ever.

August 2018:
GSM-Multimedia becomes DJ-Tech Europe: DJ-Tech entrusts us with the distribution of their products for the entire European mainland. We look forward to this task and the synergies it will create.

July 2019:
GSM-Multimedia turns 25! For 25 years, we have been delighted to supply DJs and event organizers with our high-quality products. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our customers who have supported us for so long and made this success story possible.

September 2019:
Gemini DJ entrusts us with the exclusive distribution of their products for the German and Austrian markets. With Gemini DJ equipment, we can complete our product range and enthuse our customers with many attractive products.

Future

As one of the most significant providers in the DJ/club supply sector and a market leader in accessories, we will continue to expand our position and product range in the future. We will do our best to provide both our end customers and wholesale partners with a selected product range, competitive prices, and excellent service.
